Understanding campaign statuses: Active, Scheduled, Completed

In Sendigram, every campaign is assigned a status so you can quickly see its stage in the sending process. Understanding these statuses helps you track progress, manage edits, and plan your next actions.

1. Active campaign

  • Meaning: The campaign is currently being sent.
  • Details:
    • Emails are processing and delivering to your selected recipients.
    • For large lists, sending may happen in batches to protect deliverability.
  • What you can do:
    • Monitor partial results (delivered, opens, clicks so far).
    • Pause or cancel the campaign (if enabled in your plan).
    • You cannot edit the content while the campaign is active.

2. Planned campaign

  • Meaning: The campaign is set up and scheduled for a future date/time.
  • Details:
    • The campaign is waiting to be sent.
    • All details (General, Contacts, Email Template, Scheduler) have been configured.
  • What you can do:
    • Edit or reschedule before the send time.
    • Cancel if you no longer want the campaign to run.

3. Finished campaign

  • Meaning: The campaign has finished sending to all recipients.
  • Details:
    • No further sending occurs.
    • All reporting data (delivered, opens, clicks, unsubscribes, bounces) is finalized.
  • What you can do:
    • Review results in the Reports section.
    • Duplicate the campaign for future sends.
    • Archive it for record-keeping.

4. Why Statuses Matter

  • Active = monitor performance in real time.
  • Scheduled = last chance to adjust before sending.
  • Completed = analyze results and learn for next time.
