Understanding campaign statuses: Planned, Active, Paused, Finished
In Sendigram, each campaign has a status that reflects its current stage in the sending process. These statuses help you track progress and know what actions you can still take.
1. Planned
- Meaning: The campaign is fully set up and waiting to be sent at a future date/time.
- Details:
- All campaign blocks (General, Contacts, Email Template, Scheduler) are complete.
- The system queues it for delivery at the scheduled time.
- What you can do:
- Edit or reschedule before launch.
- Cancel or delete if no longer needed.
2. Active
- Meaning: The campaign is currently being sent.
- Details:
- Emails are being delivered, usually in batches for large audiences.
- Initial results (deliveries, opens, clicks) may already appear in Reports.
- What you can do:
- Pause the campaign if you need to temporarily stop sending.
- Monitor performance live.
- You cannot edit the content while Active.
3. Paused
- Meaning: The campaign was Scheduled or Active but has been stopped manually.
- Details:
- Remaining emails are held in the sending queue.
- Already delivered emails are unaffected.
- What you can do:
- Continue (resume) the campaign to finish sending.
- Cancel or delete if you no longer want it to run.
4. Finished
- Meaning: The campaign has finished sending to all recipients.
- Details:
- No further emails are sent.
- Reports are finalized with open, click, bounce, and unsubscribe data.
- What you can do:
- View detailed performance reports.
- Duplicate the campaign to reuse settings or design.
- Archive for record-keeping.
5. Why Statuses Matter
- Scheduled = final prep and last edits.
- Active = live monitoring.
- Paused = temporary safety net.
- Completed = results and learning.
