Managing dedicated IP expiration and renewal
Dedicated IPs in Sendigram give you full control over your sender reputation. However, they are tied to your subscription or package cycle and can expire if not renewed. Proper management ensures uninterrupted sending and reputation stability.
1. What Happens When a Dedicated IP Expires
- Your campaigns may automatically switch to a shared IP, which can affect deliverability.
- The expired IP stops building reputation — if left unused, you may need to warm up a new IP from scratch.
- Scheduled campaigns using the expired IP may fail to launch until reassigned.
2. Checking IP Expiration
- Go to Sender settings → IP address.
- Review the expiration date for each active IP.
- A status alert will notify you when your IP is nearing expiration.
3. Renewing a Dedicated IP
- Open Sender settings → IP address.
- Locate the dedicated IP marked as Expired or Expiring Soon.
- Click Renew.
- Confirm the payment method.
- Once renewed, the IP remains active and keeps its existing reputation.
4. Auto-Renewal Option
- Enable Auto-Renew to avoid accidental expiration.
- Sendigram will automatically charge your saved payment method before expiry.
- Confirmation emails are sent for each renewal.
5. Deleting an Expired IP
If you no longer need the IP:
- Go to Sender settings → IP address.
- Select the expired IP.
- Click Delete and confirm.
⚠️ Deletion is permanent — you cannot restore the IP later.
6. Troubleshooting
- If renewal fails, check your payment method and retry.
- If campaigns stop sending, confirm that the domain is still assigned to an active IP.
- Contact Sendigram Support if the expired IP does not appear in your renewal list.
