What to do if you exceed your email sending limit
Every Sendigram plan includes a monthly sending limit — the maximum number of emails you can send within your billing cycle. If you exceed this limit, your campaigns may pause until you take action. Here's how to handle it.
1. How Sending Limits Work
- Each subscription package includes a set number of monthly sends (e.g., 1,000 emails on Free, higher on Paid).
- Each email sent to one recipient counts as one send.
Example: A campaign sent to 500 contacts = 500 emails from your quota.
2. What Happens When You Exceed the Limit
- Scheduled campaigns may fail to launch.
- Automation workflows may pause until quota is available.
- You'll see a warning message in your Dashboard and Campaigns section.
3. Options If You Reach the Limit
A. Wait Until Renewal
- Your quota resets at the start of your next billing cycle.
- You can resume sending without extra cost.
- Best for low urgency campaigns.
B. Upgrade Your Subscription
- Go to Billing & Plans → Upgrade Plan.
- Choose a package with a higher monthly send limit.
- The new limit applies immediately after payment.
C. Purchase an Email Package
- Buy a one-time block of extra email credits.
- Go to Billing & Plans → Packages.
- Choose the package size (e.g., 5,000, 10,000 emails).
- Credits are added instantly and can be used alongside your plan.
4. Preventing Limit Overages
- Track usage in Billing & Plans → Usage.
- Monitor sending activity, especially for large campaigns.
- Segment your audience — send only to engaged subscribers for better ROI.
- Use Auto Top-Up if available, so extra packages are purchased automatically when you're low.
