What happens after admin rights are transferred?

When you transfer admin rights in Sendigram, the new Admin immediately gains full control of the account. Understanding the consequences of this change ensures smooth transitions and avoids confusion.

1. The New Admin's Capabilities

After receiving Admin rights, the user can:

  • Manage billing & subscriptions (upgrade/downgrade plans, view invoices, update payment methods).
  • Add, edit, or remove sending domains and IPs.
  • Configure DNS authentication settings (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
  • Invite, edit, disable, or delete other users.
  • Assign or revoke Admin rights for others.
  • Access and edit all campaigns, contacts, templates, and reports.

2. The Previous Admin's Role

When the previous admin is downgraded to a regular user, they:

  • Keeps access to campaign creation, contacts, templates, and analytics.
  • Loses access to billing, domains, IPs, and user management.
  • Cannot promote/denote other users.

3. Campaign and Asset Ownership

  • Campaigns, templates, and contact lists created by the previous admin remain in the account.
  • Ownership does not change — they stay tied to the original creator but are accessible by a new admin.
  • Scheduled campaigns continue unaffected.
