Selecting and managing IP addresses for sending

In Sendigram, your email campaigns are delivered through an IP address. The choice of IP affects deliverability, sender reputation, and how email providers treat your campaigns. You can use either shared IPs (default) or dedicated IPs (optional).

1. What Is a Sending IP Address?

  • An IP address is the "digital home" from which your campaigns are sent.
  • Email providers check an IP's reputation to decide if your emails should go to the inbox, promotions tab, or spam.

2. Shared vs. Dedicated IPs

  • Shared IP (default):
    • Used by multiple Sendigram customers.
    • Included in all plans.
    • Good for low-volume or new senders.
  • Dedicated IP (optional, add-on):
    • Assigned exclusively to you.
    • Recommended for high-volume or brand-sensitive senders.
    • Requires warming up to build reputation.

3. Selecting a dedicated IP for Sending

  1. Go to Sender SettingsIP address.
  2. Choose the IP assignment:
    • Shared IP (default, automatic).
    • Dedicated IP (must be purchased and verified first).
  3. Save your selection.

4. Managing Dedicated IPs

  • Go to Account SettingsPlans and pricingDedicated IPs.
  • From here, you can:
    • Enable/disable auto-renewal.
    • View expiry dates.
    • Renew or delete expired IPs.
    • Assign or reassign IPs to different verified domains.
